Love, Kin was born from a simple belief: that the plants God created are still healing today. We are a Detroit-based herbal wellness brand that bridges traditional plant medicine with modern psychology — creating handcrafted, natural hormone-conscious skincare, haircare, and home essentials that care for the whole person, not just the surface.

What began as a commitment to handcrafted natural beauty has evolved into something deeper — a community apothecary rooted in the knowledge that your skin, your hair, and your home environment are reflections of your inner world. Every formula we create is informed by traditional herbalism, backed by plant science, and guided by an understanding of how emotional and psychological health shows up in the body.

Our products are handmade in Detroit, Michigan using ethically sourced herbs and botanicals as often as possible. We are a presence at Eastern Market and farmers markets throughout the city each season — and we are building toward a permanent community apothecary space where our neighbors can come to fill, blend, grow, consult, and heal.

We work with herbs and botanicals that carry both traditional wisdom and documented plant science. We tend not to utilize filler ingredients in our formulas but plants chosen for a specific purpose, rooted in a specific solution.

Our core ingredient families include adaptogens for nervous system support (ashwagandha, holy basil, reishi, rhodiola), African botanical oils for skin and hair nourishment (baobab, moringa, kalahari melon seed, marula), traditional nervines for stress and emotional wellness (skullcap, passionflower, lemon balm), and hero herbs from hair care tradition (black seed, nettle, rosemary, hibiscus, cedarwood). Ingredients are ethically sourced, cruelty-free, and chosen with intention.
